California's coastal sites (Monterey, Pacifica, Torrey Pines, etc..) offer lots of opportunity for ground handling and air time. The mountain sites (Potato Hill, Dunlap, Ed Levin,Etc..) offer beginner training hills, to advance thermal soaring and cross country. Flat lands (Salton City, Davis, Sacramento) is great for powered paragliding. Most sites are all within a driving distance. We strive to keep our privilege of flying these sites, so if you are new to a site, we recommend a site intro from a local pilot or a certified instructor.
